Mahesh DOES NOT OWN THE LAND (just a squatter)...
- So, you admit that there are Mahesh-ian pandits at Ayodhya?
-THERE ARE *NO* large groups Mahesh-ian Pandits funded and gathered
by Lil Brahmachari MishMashi Mahesh anywhere in all of India.

There is to date only *Pro-movement Propagada*, in such forms as
*spurious* 'press releases' generated by mouthpieces hired by the
"tmo". Most of these "reports" are dated from 18-26 months ago.

Furthermore, there WILL NEVER BE any groups of Mahesh-ian Pandits,..
not now.. not in 2 months or 2 years.

- The statement still stands as of Feb. 18, 2003..

Inspite of the more than $87mil. donated by the *Blind Faith
Followers* (last year), and solemn promises of Lil Brahmachari MishMashi
Mahesh.

And, inspite of recent statements claiming otherwise from
"Drs." Hagelin and Morris..

*Not one single news article from *Seven Major INDEPENDENT Indian

Where are the 10,000 Maheshian assbandits
mediatooting on the Banks of the Ganges?
Mr. Perino - At the recent Kumba Mela?

According to my sources, there were millions of "Maheshian assbandits
mediatatooting on the Banks of the Ganges" at the most recent Kumba Mela
held at Allahhabad in India. The reports stated that there were millions of
yogis, fakirs, swamis, pandits, rasik saints and devotees all seeking the
darshan of His Holiness Sri Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati, a world famous
pandit and supportor of the TM movement of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The Swami
had a very large tent at the Mela and it was filled day and night with
pandits chanting from the Rik Veda.

Swami Vasudevananda is in the direct disciplic lineage of Swami Brahmanand
Saraswati, our Guru DevJi. Apparently, Guru Dev had maintained a very large
temple establishment called "Shankarmath" in the city of Allahabad since
about 1945. Shankarmath at Allahabad was Guru Dev's headquarters when he was
not presiding at Jyotirmath or on tour. When Guru Dev passed away, he
bequeathed to Swami Shantanand, who was succeeded by Swami Vishnudevanand,
the entire Jyotirmath and Shankarmath Ashrams and all their contents and the
land on which they are built. Guru Dev, according to the Indian Press,
invested Swami Shantanand with the seat of the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath.

So, at each Kumba Mela at Allahabad there are millions of pandits, yogic
flyers and meditators who gather for the blessings of our spiritual leader,
the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, Swami Vasudevanada Saraswati. In fact,
thanks to Guru Dev and the Maharishi, mediation is the most popular form of
yoga in India today. Apparently, millions of Indians gather for the darshan
another world famous Mahesian Pandit and Yogic Flyer, to listen to the hymns
of the Vedas chanted by the Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a flying pandit student of
the Maharishi. There must be a million or more Sri Sri mediatooters on the
planet by now!

There may never be many Vedic Pandits in the U.S., so don't get your hopes

Radha Krishna tempe down in Texas since about 1990 and he's still the only

why? Because you can't even understand Sanskrit, even the aid of flash

the nation suffered huge financial losses. Now it is ceasefire. Any
appeasement policy towards Muslims cannot be tolerated," the
Shankaracharya, who is Jyotipithadhishwar told PTI here..."

(BTW.. "Jyotipithadhishwar" translates to mean-, Swami Swaroopanand
Saraswati is Jagatguru Shankaracharya of Jyotir Peeth)
Guru Dev, according to the Indian Press,
invested Swami Shantanand with the seat of the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath.
-And who could forget this.. from the "Indian Press"

http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucgadkw/position/shank-jyot-ascii.html
Beginnings of Conflict -
.."Swami Brahmananda Saraswati passed away in 1953, but he had not
clearly indicated his successor. This immediately caused a problem, as
he had initiated a number of disciples into Sannyasa. A few weeks
after he passed away, a will was found, according to the terms of
which, a disciple called Swami Santananda Saraswati was named as the
first choice for succeeding to the Jyotirmath title. However, many
followers of Brahmananda Saraswati were satisfied neither with the
credentials of Santananda, nor with the validity/authenticity of the
will..."

.."However, Santananda's reputation definitely took a blow, although
the major complaint against him was simply that he was unfit for the
post of Sankaracharya, because he did not measure up to the
qualifications described in the Mahanusasana texts. [2]

Divided Lineage -
.."Because of the controversy over Brahmananda's will and
Santananda's succession, the organizations involved in reviving
Jyotirmath in 1941 considered other nominations for the Sankaracharya
post. These efforts were blessed by Swami Abhinava Sacchidananda
Tirtha, the then Sankaracharya of Dwaraka. In 1953 itself, one Swami
Krishnabodha Asrama was appointed as the new Jyotirmath Sankaracharya,
contesting Santananda's claim..."
So, at each Kumba Mela at Allahabad there are millions of pandits, yogic
flyers and meditators who gather for the blessings of our spiritual leader,
the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, Swami Vasudevanada Saraswati.
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucgadkw/position/shank-jyot-ascii.html
.."The latest development from this angle is that on February 22,
1999, the court at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, has passed an interim
order, prohibiting Vasudevananda from using the title of Sankaracharya
to collect any donations, till the legal case gets resolved either
way. The reasons cited for this order are that his installation is
suspect, and that Swarupananda has the better claim to the Jyotirmath
title, both for historical reasons and by virtue of being acknowledged
by the other Sankaracharyas..."

District judge rejects Swami's plea
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2001 02:13:13AM
ALLAHABAD:
District judge Jagmohan Paliwal dismissed the revision application of
Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, and upheld the order of February 13
passed by civil judge (junior division) west, Allahabad.

The civil Judge, on February 13 this year had dismissed the two
applications of Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, whereby he had prayed
that contempt proceedings pending against him be rejected in the light
of the High Court Order. Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati
has filed a suit, seeking relief that Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati be
restrained by the court from proclaiming himself Jagat Guru
Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath Badrikashram Himalaya.

The Additional Civil Judge (Second), Allahabad on February 22, 1999
had passed a temporary injunction, restraining Swami Vasudevanand, not
to proclaim himself as Jagat Guru Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth
Badrikashram Himalaya and work accordingly.
After a temporary injunction, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati has filed
an application in the court of Civil Judge here, seek ing relief that
punitive action be taken against Swami Vasudeva nand under Order 39
Rule 2(Ka) of C.P.C., as he has intentionally violating the court's
injunction order and proclaiming himself Shankaracharya of
Badrikashram... [end]
In fact,
thanks to Guru Dev and the Maharishi, mediation is the most popular form of
yoga in India today.
-Dream on.. Lil MishMashi Mahesh was run out of India 15 years ago..

From four major media outlets in India...
<snip>

Mr. Perino - The Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, Swami Vasudevananda
Saraswati, does not read the Indian secular press. Furthermore, the
Indian civil courts have no jurisdiction in religious matters
concerning the desciplic succession of gurus in India.

Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati sits at Jyotirmath in the Himalayas and
at the Shankaramath at Allahabad. He is worshipped as the
reincarnation of Shankaracharya by millions of devotees. SwamiJi
Vasudevananda is the representative of Guru DevJi, Swami Brahmananda
Saraswati, in the desciplic succession.

"Only the lineage of Vasudevananda (through Santananda) can be traced
directly to Brahmananda, without any interruptions." - Vidyasankar
Sundaresan

These are the facts:

1. Swami Shantananda succeeeded Guru Dev as the Shankaracharya of
Jyotirmath according to the terms of a handwritten, will which has
never been disputed in an Indian court of law.

2. Neither Swami Prakashanada nor Swami Swaroopananda were mentioned
in Guru Dev's will, which was admitted by the Swami Swaroopananda.

3. Shankaracharya established four seats of learning and a direct
desciple to administer each; Shankara did not appoint one
administrator to oversee two seats, both at the same time.

The fact is that the Indian political party that you previously
espoused is OUT.

These are the facts. Sir.

he had initiated a number of disciples into Sannyasa. A few weeks

which, a disciple called Swami Santananda Saraswati was named as the

.."Because of the controversy over Brahmananda's will and

[end]

Jyothirmath in 53.
Mr. Perino - You are incorrect, Sir - the will of Guru Dev was not
disputed by the VHP. The VHP fully supported Guru Dev's successor,
Swami Shantanand Saraswati as the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath.

"In an interview with Robert Kropinsky the Swami Swaroopanand has
stated that Guru Dev left a will which clearly specified the names of
those individuals who were to assume the title and responsibilities of
Shankaracharya after Guru Dev's death. The will specifed that Swami
Shantanand was to succeed to the seat of the Shankaracharya of the

Apparently, H.H. Dalai Lama of Tibet supports Swami Shantananda
Saraswati, the rightful successor of Guru Dev as the Shankarachary of
Jyotirmath.

"The Second World Hindu Conference was held on 25th, 26th and 27th

Dalai Lama, the great religious leader of Buddhists and was presided
over by Shri Bhagawat Singh, Maharana of Mewar. This was attended by

H.H. The Dalai Lama was accorded a rousing reception by Jagatguru
Shankaracharya Shri Shantanandji. This in itself was a historical
event, because it was a symbol of the unity and identity of Sanatana
Hinduism and Buddhism. Such was the origin and spread of great idea,

*NONE MENTION* a "Swami Vasudevanada" as "Shankaracharya.
With all due respect, you're full of it.

The Bharata Dharma Mahamandala, Kashi Vidvat Parishad, and the Akhila
Bharatiya Dharmasangha were all present at the installation of Guru
Dev's successor, Shree Swami Shantanand Saraswati. According to The
Times of India, Shantanand was installed with all due pomp and
ceremony.

Apparently, Shantanand meditated for over an hour in a public
reception. Subsequently, Shantanand was present at a number of TMO
activities, the least not being the Saints Course at Ram Nagar, the
ground-breaking of Shankaracharya Nagar at Rishikesh, and at the
Maharishi Guru Poornima at Noida held in 1990.

According to Kropinsky, Shantanand was present at the bithday
celebration of Guru Dev at Vrindavan, which you cited. It is a fact
that Swami Shantanada Saraswati and his successors fully approved of
the Mahesh Yogi and the TM meditation program, according to
Joyce-Collin Smith. If you think that meditation is not supported by
the Dasanami Sampradya founded by the Adi Shankara, you are mistaken.

Your claim is therefore false and is totally without merit.

According to Vidyasankar Sundaresan, Santananda passed away in late
1997, and Vasudevananda Sarasvati is the current representative of
this lineage.

"Vasudevananda Sarasvati was present during the appointment of a
Mahamandalesvara of the important Maharnirvani Akhada in 1995,
according to Hinduism Today. On February Santananda stepped down from
the seat, in the year 1985, in favor of his disciple, Swami
Vishnudevananda Sarasvati. However, Vishnudevananda Sarasvati passed
away in 1990, when Santananda Sarasvati was still alive. Following
this, another disciple, Swami Vasudevananda Sarasvati, was named as
the successor."

well-known Mahatmas and Mahamandaleswaras to grace the installation.
The auspicious occasion of Adi Sankaracharyaji's janam tithi
(birthday) fell on May 12th, so that the installation ceremonies could
be spread over some days before and after May 10th, within the happy
orbit of Mataji's birthday celebrations. By 6 am. Mataji Herself and
everyone else were ready on the road side to receive His holiness
Jagatguru Sri Sri 1008 Swami Santananda Saraswati of Jyotir Math, who
was the chief guest. He arrived promptly at 6.10 by car and at once
boarded the limousine car together with Mataji. The procession
started at 6.15, led by the Ashram jeep, driven by Br. Sevananda.
